Investigating a low-cost, outdoor dairy beef system at Harper Adams

Wednesday 20th December 2017 - Time: 13:30–16:00

This event will provide an update on work to develop a low-cost production system for pure-bred dairy and Hereford sired dairy-beef calves. The key elements of the system are maximising output from grazed grass and reducing wintering costs by out-wintering cattle on fodderbeet, before finishing during their second season at grass.
