Collective Shows and Sales

Hereford Cattle Society Carlisle Bull Sale 29th February 2008

Two Annual Shows & Sales of Breeding stock are organised by the Society, at Hereford Livestock market.
The Hereford Cattle Society Spring Show and Sale will be held on Saturday 15th March 2008, with the date for the Autumn Show and Sale still to be advised.
The Society will hold its Annual Dinner in Hereford at the time of the Autumn Sale.

Private Sales

From time to time on farm sales are organised for Breeders wishing to hold Reduction or Dispersal Sales. The Society's official auctioneers are Brightwells of Leominster, who have acted at such sales since the formation of the Hereford Cattle Society in 1878.

Sales Register

A Private Sales Register is maintained by the Society and details of the Cattle for Sale can always be obtained upon request.

Marketing from producer to consumer

A complete marketing service is provided from producer to consumer - Pure Breeding Stock, Commercial Finished Cattle and Stores- with the end-product branded Hereford Beef available at an increasing number of Waitrose stores throughout the country. There are also an increasing number of independent outlets marketing Hereford Beef.
