Name:  Eva Jackson

How long have you been a member of UKHY for?:  Approximately five years

What has been your best moment with UKHY?: Winning my young handlers’ class at the National Poll Show in 2019 and being awarded the Dendor show stick.

What do you enjoy most about UKHY?: UKHY workshops and events at shows.

What are your ambitions for the future?: I would like to become a vet in the future and will continue working with Herefords, aiming towards starting and building my own herd.

What do you think you have learned from being in UKHY?: I have learnt lots of things from attending the workshops. I enjoyed learning about different clipping ideas and show preparation of cattle. One of the most useful things that I have learnt has been what things judges are looking for in a young handler, this has helped me to improve my handling skills and be more prepared for judges’ questions during shows.
