On  17 and 18 October, Mr John Price held an extensive sale at Ryall; 116 head averaged £58, total being £6,728. The stock were described as being ‘wholly descended from that of Benjamin Tomkins’. The bull Wellington bred by Benjamin Tomkins, sold for £283 to M Jellicoe.
