Hear from Cerys about her opportunity
The Hereford Cattle Society is delighted to announce its support for Cerys Jenkins as she prepares to represent both the Society and the Hereford breed as part of Team UK at the prestigious B.E.E.F. International competition, held alongside Farmfair International in Edmonton, Canada, this November.

Born and bred on the Welsh coast in Carmarthenshire, Cerys is a third-generation farmer who combines her studies in Veterinary Biological Sciences at Aberystwyth University with a strong commitment to the livestock industry. Alongside farming with her family, she runs her own agricultural photography and marketing business and works as a freelance stockwoman, preparing and showing cattle for pedigree breeders across the UK.
Having grown up with commercial Herefords and exhibited the breed from a young age, Cerys has developed a lifelong passion for Hereford cattle. As a recipient of the Gareth Raw Rees Memorial Scholarship, she now has the exciting opportunity to showcase the breed and British agriculture on a global stage.
Farmfair International is one of Canada’s leading agricultural events and the B.E.E.F. International competition brings together talented young stockmen and stockwomen from around the world to compete in livestock judging, showmanship, herdsmanship, animal health, marketing and industry-focused challenges. This year marks the first time Team UK will take part in the competition.

The Hereford Cattle Society is incredibly proud to support Cerys and wishes her every success as she represents the Hereford breed, Team UK and British agriculture overseas. We look forward to following her journey and sharing updates with members throughout this exciting international experience.
